UVic Campus Tour
Sign up for a campus tour to visit UVic and see some of our favourite spots, including faculty buildings, athletics facilities and dining locations. Tours are led by UVic students who love to share their personal experiences with visitors!
- Your tour will include a look inside a single-bed residence room in Čeqʷəŋín ʔéʔləŋ (Cheko’nien House) or Tower (depending on the size of the tour group).
- To protect the privacy and safety of current UVic students, we don't accept requests to see specific rooms or residence buildings.
Tours usually start and end at the Welcome Centre. However, they're sometimes moved to accommodate UVic events. You'll be notified in advance if there are changes to your tour.
Availability
Daily campus tours are offered Monday through Saturday, and are not available on Sundays or statutory holidays. All tours are scheduled in Pacific Time.
Group tours
In addition to our scheduled tours, we offer customized group tours for high schools, colleges, and other student groups who are interested in attending UVic in the future (e.g. Indigenous, youth and agency groups). Learn more about booking a group tour.
Directions and parking
We recommend parking in one of the following locations, all less than a five-minute walk from the Welcome Centre:
- Jamie Cassels Centre parkade (Google Maps)
- McKenzie Avenue parkade (Google Maps)
- Parking Lot 2 (Google Maps)
Pay parking is in effect from Monday to Saturday.
Getting to UVic from Swartz Bay
If you're taking the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (approximately 95 minutes), you should allow:
- 75 minutes to travel from Swartz bay to UVic by bus
- 45 minutes to travel from Swartz bay to UVic by car
Please allow an additional 15 minutes to park at UVic and walk to the Welcome Centre prior to the start of the tour.
